Regulatory Accounting Manager

Our client, a large Financial Services Institution, has a requirement for a Regulatory Accounting Manager. The purpose of the role is to mange processes and to calculate, monitor and report on Solvency I and intra group limits and prepare balance sheet commentaries.

Key Accountabilities

- Supervision of staff performing the monitoring and settlement of intra group trading balances.
- Manage intra group loan limits in including proposing and implementing revisions to loan limits in addition to the evaluation of entity forecasts to evaluate potential impairment to intercompany loans receivable.
- Calculate, monitor and report on the regulatory solvency position for the Group (under the solvency I regime) which involves:
- Provide technical advice and interpretation to the Investments and Treasury management team in respect of the capital implications associated with investment in new asset classes, contributing to the overall development and implementation of Investment strategy.
- Calculate, monitor and report on any impairment of balance sheet carrying values in respect of goodwill and investment in subsidiaries using Group 5 year forecasts.
- Support the development of the SolvencyII balance sheet solution at both a solo entity and group level., in so far as balance sheet information is utilised for SolvencyII Pillar 1 calculations.
- Support the development the SolvencyII Pillar 3 solution for completion of quarterly reporting templates.

Key Competencies

Business: experience in interpreting regulatory requirements.
