Registered Nurse (RN) - Telephone Triage Job

RN (REGISTERED NURSE) RESOURCE/TELEPHONIC TRIAGE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity for Yoh's client located in Oklahoma City, OK.

The Big Picture

- The telephonic nursing position will be responsible for taking in-coming calls for Nurse Advise link and calls from affiliate hospital and members contracted with Health-link.
- THIS IS A CORPORATE POSITION - NOT HOME BASED.
- WED, THURS, FRI OR FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE, FRI IS REQUIRED.
- 4PM - 12 AM

What You'll Be Doing:

- This position entails use of computerized protocols to perform triage on patients making inbound telephone calls.
- The nurse in this position will work under the direction of the manager of nursing operations.
- Duties include use of multi-line telephone system, data entry during triage calls, concise and accurate documentation.
- Use of external support services, delegation of clerical duties to non-licensed staff and ability to perform several tasks (ie, talk, type and use computer mouse) at once.

The Big Picture - Top Skills Should You Possess:

- Current license as Registered Nurse in the state of Oklahoma.
- Two years of "current" nursing/clinical experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of direct patient care last three (3) years.
- Ability to type 30+ wpm or more.
- Must have basic computer skills working in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multi-task and make prudent decisions about patients on the phone.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional phone presence.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Current license as Registered Nurse in the state of Oklahoma.
