Registered Nurse, Band 5 (ICU Ward, NHS) - Bristol

CRG Healthcare are working with a hospital in Bristol who have a large volume of ad-hoc shifts available to locum staff. We are currently recruiting for experienced and competent general nurses to provide cover to this hospital.

Duties will include:
Competent and effective clinical nursing skills including:
oAble to record a 12 lead ECG
oAbility to sample from arterial access
oIV cannulation, IV additives and administration of IV medicines
oAble to care for ICU patients under indirect supervision
oCompetent in basic life support
oEffective wound care

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills
Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate within interdisciplinary team and across disciplines as well
Self motivated and uses own initiative
Able to prioritise work load efficiently
Maintaining clear and accurate records of assessments made, nursing care and treatment delivered
Works well in stressful situations and able to respond appropriately

Essential:
At least 1 years experience in ICU within the last six months
Registered on the appropriate part of the NMC registration for the assignment
Works within codes of practice and professional guidelines
