Our Client, one of Europe's foremost IT Companies, is seeking a contract Regional Property Specialist in Jena, Germany, who will oversee the design, planning, construction and maintenance of the Jena Office and support of the Munich Office. Reporting to the International Property Manager (based in London, UK), this individual will assist developing budgets and long-range facilities plans based on company growth and future needs. This position will work with outside vendors and suppliers for projects and maintenance work.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills, be a good communicator, and have a mature outlook. This individual will be expected to have a strong influence on the office "look and feel", ensuring that each facility reflect our clients organizational image and be consistent with our clients other workplaces.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they meet some, if not all, of the following criteria:
Skills and Knowledge:

Successfully completed studies in supply management or trained technician with a focus on supply, building or energy technology or comparable qualifications in the area of facility management, building services, or MSR (measurement and control technology)

Expert within facility management and with the management of external services, or respectively in the area construction, facility management, properties and/or housing management

Experience in managing several locations

Practical experiences in the areas maintenance, servicing and optimization of technical facilities as well as in the development and support of the central building control systems

Reliable knowledge of the HOAI (official scale of fees for services by architects and engineers) and VOB (German construction contract procedures) as well as of the respective technical policies, legal regulations and norms, especially the ones concerning fire safety regulations

Sound knowledge of contract law (i.e. tenancy, services contracts, contracting agreements)

Understanding of business processes in complex organizations and ability to work in a team

Knowledge of the above needs to be for windows based environments.
