MY DUTIES:

- Working as Controls Engineer in advanced engineering with responsibility for hybrid energy controls.  
- Modifying, optimizing and validating an ECMS based hybrid energy controller for drivetrain simulations.
- Executing extensive system co-simulation for concept definition and total system optimization of powertrain and vehicle.
- Quality assurance, interpretation and documentation of the controls approach and simulation results.
- Elaboration of compelling reports and presentations as well as internal and external reporting to project review board on a regular basis.
- Further improvement of simulation methodology and tools according to state of the art knowledge.

MY QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master’s degree (optional PhD) in mechanical / electrical / automotive engineering, aerospace technology or related.
- Profound knowledge and experience in system or product development of powertrain / propulsion technology.
- Experienced in supervisory controls design and simulation testing for hybrid vehicles.
- Strong foundational understanding of ECMS or other optimization strategies.
- Hands-on experience in typical automotive simulation tools (Matlab / Simulink, GT Suite, etc.).
- Strong expertise in cause-effect relationships, function and thermodynamic of the internal combustion engines as well as functionality of its subsystems and components, especially turbochargers.
- Detailed understanding and system overview of electrified powertrain topologies
- Enthusiasm for innovation topics and cooperation in an international development network.
- Strategic thinking to develop new product portfolios. 
- Very good communication and team ability skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
