Refrigeration Assurance Engineer

Our client is a leading multi-site retailer. They are looking at ways to improve the quality and cost of their property Refresh scheme validation and on-site engineering assurance. They are looking to bring this operation in-house in order to have greater control over the specifications to ensure they are best suiting the needs of their customers.

We are looking for Engineers (Electrical & Refrigeration) to work alongside the in house Engineering team and Store Development Managers to assure both the design and development of their Refresh Stores. The main role accountabilities are:

*Scheme validation
*Installation assurance
*Commissioning assurance
*Handover and documentation management
Duties will include
Installation Assurance
1.Visit sites to ensure installation complies with the scope, validated drawings and Design Standards
2.Site visits to include all disciplines (mechanical, electrical & refrigeration), number of visits to be dictated by risk and programme length
3.Issue reports and required documentation internally

Commissioning Assurance
1.Visit site on appropriate date to ensure the commissioning complies with Design Standards
2.Site visits to include all disciplines (mechanical, electrical & refrigeration), number of visits to be dictated by risk and programme length
3.Issue reports and required documentation internally

Handover Assurance
1.Ensure the Handover and O&M manuals meet the Design Standards.
2.Ensure that all certification is correctly prepared, meets in full the required standards and a certificate of conformity is issued to the Handover & Maintenance Planning Manager team.
3.Any none compliance to be recorded, actioned and reported.

This role exists to oversee and ensure that our clients contractors deliver great stores to their customers that meet the design standards and are right first time.

Ideally candidates will hold:-
*HND or equivalent Engineering degree qualification
*5 years plus proven experience, ideally in a multi-site retail environment
*Proven experience in installation & commissioning
*Good understanding of current and anticipated legislation
*Strong communication skills, articulate, confident and resilient

This role will be a regional role with travel to sites within your designated region. You must be willing to travel to the Hertfordshire based Head Office from time to time.
