Job Title: Reference Administrator
Location: Manchester city centre
Salary: £14,250 + performance based bonus. Salary increases to £15,250 once probationary period has been passed.
Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

The purpose of this role is to chase and successfully obtain references for candidates that are being placed into clients of Reed Recruitment.

Obtaining references is an important part of the vetting process and Reed Screening are responsible for building successful relationships with their clients, understand their screening requirements and then, following strict processes, ensure that pre screening is completed to the required standard within service level agreements.

Working in accordance with processes and procedures established by the Reed Specialist Recruitment and Reed's clients, you will ensure that all of the administration and data management tasks associated with the effective management of candidate pre screening are completed to the established standard, including:
UK law
RSR requirements
Compliance levels as dictated by the client

The Screening Executive will therefore be required to work closely with the Screening Team Leader's, the RSR network, Reed's clients, compliance department and various related teams within Reed Specialist Recruitment.

Principle Accountabilities

Reference checks:
Ensure that information that comes back from the client is correct and present
To check detailed information such as work history to ensure gaps are identified and explained
Ensure documentation is present and correct to pass to an internal audit team

Process management:
Ensure all company processes, protocols and procedures are adhered to

Continual Improvement and Development:
Provide front line assistance in all administrative tasks to ensure the smooth progression of candidate pack through Reed Screening
Support the Screening Team Leader in implementing any changes or updates to compliance or process requirements
Liaise with IT Support teams to resolve systems issues.

Person Specification

MUST have experience of working within a telephone based position (ideally outbound)
Proficient in the use of a range of computer packages such as MS Excel, MS Word and databases
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation
Numerate and detail conscious
Proactive with demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage workloads
Demonstrable team working skills
