We are currently recruiting for casual fixed term weekend workers, with responsibility for redistributing bicycles (through driving scheme vehicles across the zones) to ensure Cycle Hire Scheme users have an available bicycle at their docking station and an empty bicycle docking point upon arrival at their destination.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Through driving Scheme vehicles, responsible for redistributing bicycles across the network using real-time knowledge about the status of every station and every bicycle

Provide a rapid response to meet variable user demands throughout the day and if required, carry out light maintenance work performed directly at the docking stations.

Ensure daily checks are undertaken on all vehicles and trailers, prior to commencement of shift rosters.

Responsible for responding to questions and/or concerns from members of the public, our Clients or Sponsors, as appropriate and in accordance with in-force policies and procedures relating to communications. Escalation and referral to be made to the Redistribution Team Leader.

As directed, maintain a professional interface with the client and project team(s), working closely with the team to meet project deadlines and respond to their requirements

Complete all paperwork as required, in an accurate, legible and timely manner.

Commitment to the promotion and education of equality and diversity goals throughout the LCHS contract

Skills and Experience:

UK driving licence (3 penalty points maximum) and held for at least 18 months.

Driving experience in central London

Knowledge of Serco - people, policies and procedures desirable

Knowledge / experience of Transport for London desirable

Manual handling / health

Trustworthy, reliable and flexible;

Problem resolution skills;

Must pass random drug

Numerate & literate.

IT literate

You will be mainly working weekends, but flexibility required to cover other days. Must be willing to undertake the 'bike-ability' training course to ensure proficiency and safe working.

Awareness training on the performance requirements of the LCHS will be provided.
