Redhat Infrastructure Expert wanted for one of our clients who manufactures complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. A challenging IT position in one of the most technical developed companies in the world. IT operates in a high demanding, fast moving, dynamic and professional environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REDHAT INFRASTRUCTURE EXPERT

- Maintain Unix/Linux hardware infrastructure for DevBenches & DevKits
- Take ownership of the software development hardware infrastructure as provided to the internal customer. The software development environment is used by appr. 800 developers.
- Participate as technical expert in running projects within the IT CCP ST software group.
- Define improvement proposals that focus on system performance and process efficiency for end-users.
- Give support in solving difficult 3rd line incidents related to the hardware infrastructure.
- Strong partner in discussions with SCM system architect and other stakeholders within the internal customer departments

EXPERIENCE:

Thorough understanding and practical experience with:

- Development environments
- Unix/Linux Hardware infrastructure - Redhat (RHCE is een pre).
- Multiple virtualizations techniques - RHEV (Redhat Enterprise Virtualisatie)

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solve issues on hardware Infra, communicate with customer and implement changes.

SPECIALS:

- Stress due to issues from demanding customers.
- Shows initiative and problem solving attitude.
- Pragmatic, practical, flexible (occasional evening or weekend work) and committed to quality.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in the English language.
