Red Hat Linux Administrator

Resource 1 is in need of a Red Hat Linux Administrator for a 6 month contract in Chicago, IL. Selected individual will be responsible for providing Level 3 support, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, patch management, critical updates, performance monitoring and tuning. Individual should have 2+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administration 5.x in a large, enterprise environment, as this will be the primary skill for the position. Candidate should have 7+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux Administration as well as providing Level 3 support (troubleshooting, backup & recovery, patch management, critical updates, performance monitoring and tuning). Experience with NetBackup and VMware 4.x are major pluses for this position, but not required. Individual should have experience in the financial industry (preferably with a trading or brokerage company) in a large, mission critical, high availability environment with multiple Servers.
