Senior Red Hat Enterprise and Oracle Database Administrator

This client needs contractors to be Security Cleared already.

You will be required to perform the following tasks/services in relation to the solution, which is based on a COTS product which is running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle database:

*Create an automated installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux;
*Perform security hardening according to customer's needs;
*Create a VM Ware image (for ESX and desktop) of that security hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux;
*Define and automate domain integration procedure on image deployment;
*Configure and document system logging, time synchronization, printers, task automation etc;
*Define and document boot process, system recovery and process automation;
*Set up and document, the monitoring of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers and integrate this into the existing business practices (using SCOM);
*Set up and document;
The backup process for the RHEL Servers and integration this into the existing business practices (using Netbackup);
*Define and document standard practices for Linux operations (creation of user accounts, security, system updates, logging and monitoring, system updates, file system access,)
*Set up and document automated deployment processes (using yum, kickstart, puppet, ) as part of a continuous integration and deployment processes;
*Create a library of Shell Scripts to perform some recurring tasks;
*Set up a Puppet Master configuration management system
*Create a library of reusable puppet manifests
*Provide support to the IT Operations team in managing Linux based systems
*Organize knowledge sharing sessions on a monthly frequency.
