My client, a large retail organisation based in Reading has an immediate requirement for a Recruitment Officer to join their team on a 12 month contract.

As the Recruitment Officer, you will report to the Recruitment Manager and assist them and the retail operations team in the external and internal resourcing requirements within a cost effective and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities of the Recruitment Officer

Support all retail stores with all recruitment processes.

- Assisting the Recruitment Manager to create a recruitment platform to move the business forward
- Managing and administering an efficient recruitment service to the UK Retail Operations team

Sourcing direct management candidates - Working with the Recruitment Manager to create recruitment plans
- Supporting the Recruitment Manager in defining and implementing effective and innovative recruitment and selection processes in line with customer requirements, Company policies and employment law
- Administration on applicant tracking system (AMRIS)
- Conducting Telephone interviews/screening
- Running Assessment Centres
- Write and develop Assessment Centre Material
- Liaising with the Recruitment Administrator to ensure live vacancies are accurate and that contracts are produced in line with the offers made
- Building relationships with key stakeholders
- Interviewing and shortlisting candidates providing constructive feedback to any unsuitable or unsuccessful candidates
- Providing first line advice and guidance to managers on recruitment, supporting the on-boarding process and induction

Skills & Experience required of the Recruitment Officer

- Proven strong retail experience in a busy recruitment team
- Able to demonstrate experience of managing a high volume of retail vacancies
- Ability to build relationships at all levels
- Ideally you will be SHL Level A/BPS certified
- Ability to show commitment of delivering to KPI`s
- Ideally relevant qualifications eg CIPD Certificate in Recruitment & Selection or REC qualification
- Experience of design and delivering Assessment Centres in a retail/hospitality environment
- Flexibility towards ad hoc travel
- Coaching managers on Recruitment
- Communication skills at all levels
- Up to date knowledge of Employment Law relevant to employment & immigration
- Excellent organisational, literacy and numeracy skills

As the ideal candidate, you will have a strong recruitment background consisting of demonstrable experience in the majority of the above accountabilities and be available at short notice.
