Recruiting and Training Advisory Officer

Background
This is a solo post providing a Training and Advisory function for the Regular and Territorial Army (TA) recruiting operation in Wales.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
1. Programme, schedule and deliver distributed recruitment policy and process training as identified by Training Needs Analysis or as directed, including recruiter education and training.
2. Provide advice and guidance to all involved in the recruiting operation to ensure they maintain, and exceed, the standard required by the Recruiting Group Assurance Team during inspection. This requires visiting Careers Offices, TA Centres and 'Outreach' attraction events and activities across Wales.
3. Contribute to the development of recruiting and training policies within Regional Recruiting Wales.
4. Assist with administration of the Stores Accounts and Vehicle pool. Assist with Safety, Health & Environment policy compliance and Data Protection compliance.
5. Become an advanced user of the client's Management Information Systems (MIS).
6. Adhoc duties as required

Skills/Experience Required
Management - You must be capable of providing clear management direction and guidance on area of responsibility to all involved in the recruiting operation in Wales.
Initiative - Be proactive in building key relationships, and be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to identify training needs and policy issues/requirements and act/advise accordingly.
Personal Effectiveness - Must be able to multi task and make reasoned and intelligent judgements.
IT Literacy - Daily use of Excel, word and email. Must be able to quickly learn bespoke recruiting MIS.
Training - Must have training experience and be confident and able to deliver professional training sessions to a wide of audiences.

Additional Comments
This postl is based in Wales (Brecon). However, the nature of the role means that you must be prepared, at times, to visit all the units conducting recruiting across Wales, or attend a meeting or workshop in another part of the Country. Post is to start ASAP until the end of March 2013.
