The Head teacher of a Client Primary School in Stockport is looking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Reception teacher to initially cover maternity until the October half term. The successful applicant will be an EYFS with QTS and a natural ability for working with children; this is initially a temporary contract with the potential to become permanent.

In 2012 the School received an overall 'Good' inspection by Ofsted, the learning environment and excellent delivery of the curriculum within Early Years was highlighted by the inspector. You will join the Early Years team which consists of 2 Nursery and Reception teachers, each class also has a Teaching Assistant. The Foundation stage is well resourced and built separate to the main School building, classrooms are spacious and lead directly to the playground and outside facilities.

You will take control of an average sized class with 28 pupils, utilising the support of an experienced Teaching Assistant. The parallel Reception teacher is also the foundation stage co-ordinator and you will have the opportunity to share planning ideas and utilise her vast experience.

Located just north of central Stockport, the School is within walking distance of the main train route to Piccadilly Manchester. Access via public transport connects the School to both the south and central Manchester areas. You will also be within 10 minutes drive of the M60 motorway, on site parking is also available to staff.

The current post holder is due to leave on maternity over Easter with an expected return date after the October half term. There is a potential for this post to become permanent and the Head has indicated this, if you are interested in the role and feel it could be perfect for you do not hesitate and miss out on the opportunity.
