RCM Test Manager Job Description:
The role involves system and performance testing of applications, working closely with software developers in an agile type development environment. The test manager will be responsible for creating and executing a wide variety of tests at feature and system level. Other important tasks include detection and management of defects from inception to verification and closure, and reporting frequently on project status to both business and CLIENT'S stakeholders. Vendor management skills are essential as is the ability to work across multiple offshore/onshore teams in various time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and report on RCM test activities in HOAT and UAT environments
- Design and execute test cases based on system requirements
- Design test input data and their expected results
- Produce test reports and analysis of the results of testing
- Investigate test failures to understand their causes
- Automate tests and execute them in the development/test environment
Keys Skills:
- Successful applicants must have 8+ years test experience in systems integration and performance testing
- Strong analytical skills
- Working knowledge of HP Quality Center and SPT tools such as HP Performance Center
- Excellent knowledge of software quality assurance and test best practices and methodologies
- Direct hands-on experience of automated testing tools with the ability to create test scripts in associated tools
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
- Must have the ability to clearly explain to business teams and other stakeholders the nature of defects discovered, their overall potential impact on the system and the steps being taken to resolve such defects.
- Must have the ability to understand and concisely report defects reported to the CLIENT'S testing team by the business.
