RCC SUPPORT TECHNICIAN LINCOLNSHIRE, IL 7 MONTH CONTRACT, EXTENSION POSSIBLE

HOURS: M-F, 7AM 4PM

This candidate will assist the Rollout Command Center (RCC) with leading a technical team to meet the daily requirements associated with converting 25,000+ enterprise end users to the Windows 7. The RCC Support Technician will be familiar with the implementation technologies associated with conversion from XP to WIN7, MBAM BitLocker, the use of Active Directory group policies and client application installations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist end users at their site with post-migration issues, receive and respond to incidents, changes and problems
- Dispatches Remedy incident according to defined workflow processes
- Interacts frequently with technical teams (End User Computing and RCC)
- Support the end user with the remediation of conversion login in issues and the installation various software packages
- Educate end user on unique configurations associated with the Windows 7 OS, IE 10
- Generate and send out status updates on a daily basis; tracking conversion milestones and top issues
- Provides first/second level support to end user via remote support sessions

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

- Experience supporting users in systems migration
- Minimum of 5 years applicable experience
- Sound technical implementation background with Windows 7 conversions
- Proficiency in a Outlook, Excel and Remedy environments
- Knowledge of Active Directory, SCCM, and BitLocker
- Experience with variety of desktop hardware platforms/vendors
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience installing software packages and printer setup
- Ability to think independently and act quickly to resolve issues
