RAW Adventure Camp Manager

Projektbeschreibung

The role of the RAW Adventure Camp Manager is to manage all staff, resources and processes to ensure the smooth running of the RAW Adventure Programme. This role is paramount to the success of the camps. You will be in charge of a maximum of 50 children, and will also be expected to lead from the front with your own group of up to 13 children, facilitating a variety of different outdoor activities, including team building, pioneering, survival techniques and adventure games.

Description of responsibilities as follows:

- Manage and direct staff to ensure policies and procedures are followed, and the children in the care of RAW Adventure have a fun, stimulating and safe time.
- Ensure that the RAW Adventure is run in accordance with the aims and ethos introduced in training.
- Use your experience and passion for the outdoors to create a fun-filled, caring, team-based atmosphere for all the children at RAW Adventure.
- Liaise with parents in person and by phone with regard to the children's needs and feedback on any issues that may arise.
-Take direction from and liaise with the Super Camps Camp Manager regarding cross-brand operations, especially pertaining to the staffing and quality of cross-brand sign in/out time.
- Set up, run, and pack down the camp venue each week, so that it runs smoothly for staff and children and reflects the efficient, outdoor nature of the programme.

Requirements:

Ideally educated to degree level with experience, skills and attributes as follows:

- Previous management experience within a childcare/teaching/outdoor education environment.
- Outdoor qualifications are desirable, e.g. ML (summer), SPA, BCU Level 1/2 paddlesport coach.
- Outdoor experience is essential, e.g. scouting/guiding, Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, hiking/climbing, camping, watersports.
- Confident and enthusiastic, with the ability to lead and motivate a team in the outdoors.
- Pro-active and flexible.
- Ideally candidate will hold a 12 hr First Aid Qualification
- Experience in teaching environmental/survival skills/craft

Selection and Appointment Process:

If your online application form is short listed you will be contacted by the Super Camps HR team who will speak to you further about your experiences. If selected, you will be required to complete an online test based on our online training programme. Following this you will be required to attend an unpaid RAW Adventure Training and Assessment Weekend based in Oxfordshire (accomodation available on request).

Pay: £385 - £425 per week

Hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday (set up from 7.30am on Mondays) with a half hour unpaid lunch break.

Temporary Contract: School Summer Holidays. Part seasons considered.

On appointment all staff will be expected to complete a CRB disclosure and supply us with references
