RAN Performance & Optimisation Engineer - Hague, Netherlands

We are looking for a 2G/3G RAN Performance and Optimisation Engineer to work in The Hague, NL (HOLLAND/NETHERLANDS) for our leading telecomms operator.

Senior 2G/3G Network Performance and Optimization Engineer

As senior optimization engineer one shall have more than 8 year Ericsson experience, strong knowledge of GSM/UMTS radio access and operational procedures, parameters, KPI's reporting, configuration management, dimensioning and tooling.

During the equipment swap and network modernization phases, one will analyze, troubleshoot on problems and optimize and managing network end-to-end quality of service and KPI's, identifying potential issues (congestion, network parameters tuning, customer complaint etc.) and implementing network changes.

The ideal candidate shall have a long history in GSM/UMTS with multivendor and swap project experience.

Responsibilities
* Monitor network's performance, ensuring all SLA's and KPI's are met.
* Take ownership of all performance faults, ensuring they are managed through to resolution or escalating where required.
* Identify potential performance problems, highlighting improvements required to avoid them.
* Escalating to requirements to engineering via the existing process.
* Ensure all performance faults and degradations are captured in the trouble ticketing systems, providing regular and accurate updates.
* Execute Configuration Management processes (update CM systems)
* Perform inconsistency checks and correct them
* Support swap integration and optimization engineers during the rollout activities
* Interface with and provide assistance to other areas of the program and above all to the customer
* Analyze drive testing information
* Follow all processes and procedures

Operational Experience
* Strong knowledge of Ericsson RAN Radio Access Networks (ideally at least W12 and G11B)
* Vast experience with Ericsson statistics, KPIs definitions and ENIQ11/Business Objects
* Familiar with Ericsson RBS family products (ideally RBS6000)
* Experienced with OSS diverse RNO application and network configuration management (CNA, BSM, MML commands and AMOS, CEX, etc )
* Experienced with fault finding process and management platforms
* Strong knowledge of performances issues and how they affect the customer.
* Experienced with O&P tools such as ASSET, OPTIMI and TEMS investigation

Skills/competences
* Fluent in oral and written English
* University degree in Telecommunications engineering or similar area.
