RAN OPTIMISATION ENGINEER (2G, 3G)

We are currently looking for a number of RAN Optimisation Engineer (2G, 3G) to join an existing project with a leading mobile telecoms service provider.

RAN Optimisation Engineer (2G, 3G) responsibilities;

- Ensures Network Performance data availability
- Network Performance reporting
- Represents Network Operations at Engineering meetings
- KPI definition/threshold/formulae for reporting purposes
- Data collection schedules & post processing
- Sets up Report Templates for Management, Planning & Acceptance
- Benchmark pre upgrade network KPIs
- Perform routine network performance monitoring and review of radio network Key Performance Indicators (KPI) such as drop call, TCH Blocking, Handovers, and call setup success rate
- Do database parameter settings analysis and creatively apply engineering principles to make appropriate database parameter changes/tuning, and even new feature implementation to maximize the network performance and quality in order to meet KPI targets
- Network KPI report production and analysis for Management & Engineering
- Proactive maintenance (trend analysis)
- Supports Network acceptance through reporting and analysis
- Liaises with Network Planning to agree improvement plans
- working with NSN Reporting Tools/Database eg NetAct, Optimizer, Mapinfo etc

Skills

- several years with an operator (Ericsson, Nokia/NSN, Huawei)
- RAN 2G and 3G knowledge
- Previously held down a RAN Network Performance & Optimisation position
