Our client, based in Brussels and active in Telecom services, is currentlyt looking for a RAN Operations engineer speaking French or Dutch.

Role description: Network Engineer - "RAN Operation"

Purpose:
The Support Services Engineer is responsible for supporting the in- and external local and/or global (international) customer(s) by providing professional (technical) services in analysis and resolution of problems to ensure/restore and/or enhances product/network functionality respecting contractual obligations.
He/She maintains and operates the RAN/UTRAN network, ensures the best availability and participates to the continuous improvement of the network quality.

Job description (S)he is responsible for:

FAULT ANALYSIS and CORRECTION
Writes and performs non regression test for all patches, releases and new equipments (hardware and software) & deployment of these patches, release in the Signaling network.
Develops preventive maintenance procedures and follows up and controls the performance of the level 1 & level 2 activities.
Defines plans and coordinates systems/products & services roll-out with the objective of zero incident during the move to production.
Proposes optimization of system/product & services taking into account operational requirements.

CHANGE
Prepares, carries out and controls operations on the network: configuration management, new functionalities, new software releases, integration of new equipments, coordination and participation to the planned operations (often after working hours).

TRANSFER OF KNOWLEDGE
Transfer knowledge by training, coaching, guiding, explaining, documenting and handing over relevant knowledge, to direct colleague's and in- and external local and/or global customers making use of existing processes and tools, to build knowledge/experience enabling them to perform on a more difficult and/or different competence level.

CONSULTANCY
Activities on incidental specific request of customer, by delivering subject matter knowledge,
to provide an added value to the customer.

Identifies and notifies service and/or product opportunities within or outside own work-areas whom might lead to purchase orders, respecting and/or making use of agreements made with in and external customers and the proper channels according to organizational procedures and tools, to generate more business and a higher customer satisfaction.

Requirements
FR/EN or NL/EN, Team Player, Analytical, Persuasive and user- friendly communicator
Ability to cope with frequent changes is a must, Business Competences, Customer-minded
Result-oriented

Professional Competences
Industrial Engineer Electronics/Telecommunication or equal by experience
Years of experience in Operation on 2G/3G especially on Huawei equipment.
Very good knowledge of Microsoft - Excel - PowerPoint - Access
