RALLY SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR FOSTER CITY, CA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

We re looking for candidates with Rally experience, coding abilities, and expertise with Excel macros for a premium contract opportunity with one of the world's leading financial services. The Rally Administrator & Support Analyst will be responsible for providing day-to-day support required to fully implement, administer, and support the effective use of Rally, our client's new agile Application Life Cycle Management (ALM) tool, for a cross-functional team of more than 200 technology and business users (growing to as many as 500 users with future planned roll outs).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide day-to-day operational support, including user administration, tool configuration and customization, troubleshooting and resolution of user issues, and serving as a liaison with the Rally Software vendor's technical support team.
- Handle general set up, configure the subscription, administer projects and set up the project hierarchy, set up teams, customize the Rally workspace, administer users, manage users and permissions, handle password resets and login issues, view and track total licenses and remaining seats, set up the profile, import work from other sources, support Integrations, Connectors, and Apps, customize dashboards, monitor Rally system status, and contact Rally technical support, as required.
- Assist users with understanding the capabilities Rally provides in best meeting the portfolio management, execution, and reporting needs, as well as performing a wide variety of troubleshooting and problem-solving activities. This requires an understanding of the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) and supporting portfolio management and execution processes, and the roles Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers and Testers play on each team.
- Define and run various reports required to understand portfolio, program, and release progress and status, as well as KPI's and metrics.
- Monitor change in product development scope across the portfolio and market releases to ensure that development activities are aligned with product priorities.
- Support the evaluation of business and technical requirements for integrations with other tools (eg, JIRA, Confluence Wiki, GIT/SVN, HP Quality Center, etc.).
- Provide administrative, technical, and operational support in planning and executing on the continued roll out of Rally to the broader user community on other programs in future months.
- Create various tools and documentation (eg, FAQs) required to support onboarding and training of new and existing users.
- Administer the training and onsite coaching schedule, along with operational requirements (eg, room and instructor scheduling, participant enrollments, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years system/tool administration, configuration, and support analyst experience, with Rally experience highly preferred
- Comparable experience with other tools (eg, VersionOne, JIRA/Greenhopper, or Clarity) also considered
- 2+ years experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile/Scrum development environment, including 1+ years hands on experience as a user of Rally, highly preferred
- Experience in supporting development and management of products in the online/E-commerce, payments technology and processing, and/or financial industries highly preferred
- Experience in comparable industries and functions also considered
- Understanding of and experience in Agile development practices (eg, Scrum, Kanban, XP) strongly preferred
- Ability to understand the product/business context and Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) process
- Strong technical orientation and some coding and Scripting (eg, Ruby or JavaScript), and database querying skills strongly preferred
- Solid understanding and experience with MS Excel macros required
- Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to exercise sound judgment in order to solve complex issues, recognize business critical situations, and escalate as needed
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Some business/systems analysis experience desired, with an ability to elicit and document business, user, and process requirements as it relates to configuring and supporting Rally and other tools
- Demonstrated ability to assist in the development and delivery of user training in classroom and informal group or 1:1 settings
- Highly collaborative, energetic team player with demonstrated ability to be flexible, diplomatic, persistent, and energetic, comfortable with ambiguity, open to change, working in a fast-paced and fluid environment, and thrives on learning and acquiring deep expertise in tools and process
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) required
- BA/BS required (or equivalent experience) with concentration in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields preferred
- Must sit onsite in Foster City
