An opportunity has arisen with a rail sub-contractor to work on the commercial side of their rail and construction division.

Location : Middlesex

Rate : 400 per day

Role profile:
The successful candidate will:
- Assist the commercial managers
- Have estimating experience
- Estimate materials, labour and time for each project to a final cost
- Report the estimates throughout the tender stage
- Deal with multiple tenders
- Perform a QS role when the tenders are completed for the particular project

Candidate profile:
The successful candidate will:
- Have a degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- Have experience working in a sub-contractor background
- Experience in tendering works
- Have rail experience
- Have done estimating and quantity surveying roles
- Have experience in ground works (preferably within the rail)
- Have a solid commercial knowledge

The role is working for a sub-contractor and it is essential for the successful candidate to have prior experience working for a sub-contractor where the client is the principle contractor. Rail experience and knowledge is very important for this role as they are looking for someone who can join the existing team and hit the ground running.
