RADIATION PROTECTION ADVISOR- ABLE TO PROVIDE FORMAL ADVICE TO THE COMPANY IN SUPPORT OF RADIOLOGICAL OPERATIONS.

A Radiation Protection Advisor with the Ability to provide formal advice to the company in support of radiological operations.

Is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Cumbria.

OVERVIEW OF THE RADIATION PROTECTION ADVISOR CONTRACT ROLE

You will be involved in the preparation and deployment of radiological risk assessments and formal review of nuclear arrangements. Your Primary areas of responsibility will be support to Radiography and support to Instrument Calibration, as well as supporting the Health Physics response in the event of a Nuclear Emergency - Training and participation in formal exercises in support of nuclear emergency arrangements.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE RADIATION PROTECTION ADVISOR

- Chartered Physicist
- Accredited Radiation Protection Advisor
- Radiation and radiological experience
- NEBOSH in health and safety

The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
