Radiation Nuclear Scientist

Morpho Detection Inc (MDI) in our Wilmington, MA facility invites applicants for a radiation nuclear scientist position in the department of Research and Development, designing and developing analytical instruments for radiation nuclear detection.

As a radiation nuclear scientist you will research and develop advanced sensing capabilities to develop new products and improve upon existing products and processes for Morpho Detection Inc.

- Lead the execution of research projects and ensure that all contractually required deliverables are completed on time
- Lead plans to transition research projects into products that will generate revenue
- Work with the Engineering team on product functional design and feature trade-offs for a commercial product that meets the needs of the market
- Ensure that any intellectual property developed during the research is appropriately captured.
- Present research results in papers and conferences as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and other practices set forth by upper Management.

Specifically as related to Radiation/nuclear technology, perform all of the above activities focused on maximizing the funding, development, and future procurements of MDI's radiation / nuclear detection technologies.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will:

- Contribute to all aspects of industrial research - including fundamental innovations, requirements definition, project planning, specifications, system design, and experimental validation.
- Understand the key technical factors and needs that will lead to new product offerings by meeting with customers, businesses, and other experts.

Identify, conduct, and interpret critical experiments to validate concepts and present research findings to senior management.
