Currently seeking a Radia Architect/SME, to be based at my clients offices in Bracknell, Reading on a contract opportunity due to run until September 2016.

THE CLIENT HAS ADVISED THAT CANDIDATES WISHING TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE MUST BE WILLING AND ELIGIBLE TO UNDERGO THE SECURITY CLEARANCE PROCESS UP TO SC LEVEL AT THE CLIENTS REQUEST.

The prime responsibilities of the Radia Architect/SME are as follows:

Identify, document and ownership of:

- Operational procedures for EIS Service Management
- Schedule maintenance slots if undefined or inaccurate
- backup maintenance plans if undefined or inaccurate
- routine server administration tasks if undefined or inaccurate
- disaster recovery procedures
- Service Management out of scope changes to the solution
- weaknesses within the solution and feed back to CLIENT technical authorities
- training material for Service Management
- reporting requirements for Service Management and the customer
- company Knowledge Base articles
- processes that span areas of EIS
- scripts and batch routines that are introduced to resolve an outstanding issue or simplify the solution
- product licensing requirements
- Recognised as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the solution and be able to provide mentoring to other members of the team.
- To establish a close working relationship with the respective AE design authority.
- Final acceptance of the design from AE.
- Final acceptance of server & services into live support.
- Quality gate for any changes that are made after final acceptance.
- Ensure that Service Management requirements are always maintained.
- Ensure that Service Management defects are regularly reviewed.
- To become included in any in-house testing against the solution and to report on any defects discovered.
- To interact with 3rd Party companies in order to be kept well informed of solutions (patches/fixes, etc.) and any future plans for enhancements or changes to the current solution.
- To provide consultancy to other support units in the areas of problem solving.
- Total ownership of incidents escalated to your area of expertise through to completion.
- Conduct remote support to diagnose and resolve incidents.
- In extreme cases, conduct local support to diagnose and resolve incidents.
- Participate in the Problem Management process to maintain continuity of service and update Incident or Problem tickets passed for resolution.
- To interact with EIS Release Management teams with regard to planning and co-ordinating major application roll outs and baselines.
- To become the technical authority for the solution by demonstrating and adhering to configuration control processes.
- Conduct trend analysis on the mean time between failures of the solution in which you're responsible for.
- Maintain a centrally located PROJECT Operational Security Model for the solution, and ensure that all EIS teams have the required level of permissions without becoming unnecessary.
- Liaise with AE, Applications and Release Management to understand future product releases.
- Be convivial with all consortium partners to identify and understand their requirements and use the tools you support to the maximum.
- Working in partnership with AE, to ensure KPIs and PIs are met for the solution that you support.
- To be fully conversant in the technical solutions that supports the product. for example: clustering/NLB/N+1.
- Identify and introduce all support and resource kit tools to aid in the longevity of the product.
- Responsible for your area of expertise with regards to the upkeep and running of EIS Systems Management replication kit.
- To be fully conversant with the TPA (Third Party Agreement) that has been established between the supplier and CLIENT.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience of Radia 3.x, 4.x, 5.x or 7.x at Enterprise level encompassing:

- Radia ROMS, RMP, RPS, PM, RCS, RMS, RUM, RSM, Client, Radia Mcast, RRS, RPM, DCS, REFWI

Experience of working in a Software Management role - - Microsoft Installer technology (MSI debugging)
- Experience of the software testing/distribution life cycle
- Analytical/troubleshooting skills - 2nd/3rd Line Windows Support background
- Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure individually or part of a team
