R DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Plano, Texas.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Use R and combinations of other web tools and technologies to build "R tool kits" that enable transformation of prototype analysis to production quality deployment analytics
- Develop high-performance statistical models and algorithms in R to guide modern streaming and data storage technologies.
- Engage in data collection, standardization, analysis and interpretation of data from database, experiments and studies
- Engage with client to identify client needs and build solutions using Powerpoint idea packaging
- Define team and use appropriate skill sets for the team
- Play different technical and project management roles as needed to ensure success of the project
- Build and train team members to help them grow as consultants
- Define new solution sets and offers that we can take to different clients
- Easily blend in different technology and technical considerations into business oriented discussions

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Data analysis and data mining knowledge and expertise, including hands-on experience on Perl, Python, R language, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, SAS etc.
- Analytical skills and Math skills for data analysis with large amounts of data, facts, figures, etc.
- Experience extracting, manipulating, analysing, validating and reporting on data from multiple feeds.
- Experience with SQL and/or large database development.
- Expert in broadband wireless communications is preference.
- Network simulation experience with Opnet, C++ etc. is preference.
- Fluent spoken and writing skills.
- Postgraduate student or doctoral student in Telecom and Communication, Mathematics, Computer Science is preference.
- Masters or Undergrad degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field a plus
