R Developer - Amsterdam

R Developer Amsterdam
€500 p/day
Initially until December 2018 with a good chance of extension

We're seeking an experienced R Developer/System Consultant for our client in central Amsterdam.

You'll be helping with a Solvency II Implementation project so any previous experience within the financial services sector and R System environment architecture would be particularly useful.

The main skill set includes:
R development and design
Java knowledge (particularly around R integration (their environment is Java based)
R system and environment architecture
R software architecture

You'll be helping to design, develop, configure, test, and integrate software to meet the requirements of sponsored research projects.

You will also be preparing and delivering research publications, presentations and software documentation and any experience with knowledge acquisition and documentation of project requirements/subject-specific expertise would be great.

Desirable Experience Includes:

Solvency II implementation standard formulae knowledge would be advantageous
Development life cycle
Quantitate analysis experience
Design and architecture
Using R (from an end user perspective)
