R Developer

We are currently searching for a R Developer to work in Amsterdam, The Netherlands for 6 months + extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.

The client has recently chosen R as our new statistical tool for Solvency II but we have a fundamental lack of technical knowledge around it. To that end we require an R developer in nature and skills but the applicants must be a real go-to guy in terms of their knowledge and experience as they are going to practically developing the entire environment.

Skills set and experience required (essential)
- R development and design
- Java knowledge (particularly around R integration (our environment is Java based)
- R system and environment architecture
- R software architecture

Desirable Experience
- Solvency II implementation - standard formulae.
- Development life cycle
- Quantative analysis experience
- Working in a very pressured environment
- Design and architecture
- Using R (from an end user perspective)
