R&D Web Developer

Top financial institution in NYC is in need for a talented Senior Web Developer to join their R&D Web Products team. You will be a key participant and contributor throughout the entire SDLC. The right candidate should be well-versed in all aspects of web development (client and server side) and you must have a passion for end-user experience, performance, elegance, and cross browser compatibility. You must be a hard worker, a self-starter, motivated, and have great communication skills.

Requirements:

-BS or greater in Computer Science or related field
-Experience working in a senior role on at least one large-scale public production web system
-Excellent understanding of modern web/fronted technologies and backend/server technologies
-3+ years of experience with scripting languages (Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Python, etc)
-5+ years of experience with compiled languages (C++, Java, C#, etc)
-Firm grasp of using and creating web services (SOAP, REST, etc)
-Able to apply OOD and Design Patterns to software design and problem solving
