OSRAM Sylvania is currently seeking a Technician to work in the Research and Development lab fabricating and testing samples and continuing the innovative work being done in the area of LED's.

The selected candidate will perform hands-on operations in various areas including ceramic processing, high-temperature sintering, taking electrical and optical measurements, and using optical microscopes. This is a great opportunity for someone with lab experience looking to expand their skills and add LED's to their list of competencies.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Associates degree in Engineering, Physics or Trade School certification in electronics or equivalent

Adherence to strict safety requirements

Manual dexterity to work with millimeter-sized samples

Good record-keeping skills, including Excel sheets

Data management/organization

Ability to follow directions and work independently with little instructions

Desired but not required:

Exposure to lab environment

Work on microscopes

Micro-electronic experience

Optical measurements

Handling of small samples
