R&D Senior Software Engineer Job Description:

Position Name: Senior Software Engineer

Requirements:

The Senior Software Engineer will develop tools and automation for Enterprise Technology Solutions. This role will be responsible for being involved in any phase of the tool development lifecycle which includes design, implementation, testing, and documentation. Other responsibilities include providing technical support for tools and automated processes and developing efficient and maintainable software. You will be expected to provide regular updates on tasks and resolve/escalate any roadblocks that may arise. You must be capable of working efficiently both independently and with a team, be able to effectively communicate technical knowledge, and must be able to become a subject matter expert on assigned projects. You must also be capable of researching and analyzing new technologies and tools for continuous improvement. You will work in an environment where both speed and quality of work are critical. Desired skills for this role includes, but is not limited to: C#, .NET Framework, WPF, MVVM, ASP.NET MVC, Razor, WCF, SQL, Stored Procedures, Database design, LINQ, Entity Framework, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS, Coded UI, Microsoft UI Automation Library, OO programming, multithreaded programming, Windows services.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
* 3+ years C# and .NET Framework development experience
* Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio (2010/2012)
* Understanding of object-oriented design
* Exhibit attention to detail
* Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
* Solid written and oral communication

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2+ years ASP.NET MVC, Razor development experience
* 2+ years HTML, CSS, Javascript experience
* 2+ years WPF, MVVM experience
* Significant web application development experience
* Experience building user interfaces using frameworks like JQuery and ASP.NET MVC
* SQL Server development experience
* Experience with automated testing a plus
* Experience with multithreading and concurrent development
