R&D Engineer II

The R&D Engineer will be supporting my Medical Device client within its Drug Coated Balloon group.

The R&D Engineer will have a wide range of duties and responsibilities including; designing and analyzing intravascular devices or components, developing and executing design / process characterization, verification, preparing experimental plans and timelines, creating test method design specifications, creating process development and product development protocols and creating capability, optimization and validation protocols and procedures.

Candidates for this position must have the following skills and experience:

* Bachelors within Engineering or related field
* 3+ years Medical Device Industry experience within Engineering
* Process FMECA experience
* Process Background within a regulated industry (development, capability, optimization and validation)
* Test method development, protocols, execution and report writing

The following skills and experience are desired but not essential.

* Experience with Vascular Catheter products
* Experience of combination Medical Devices
* In-vivo / In-vitro method development experience
* Proficiency in the application of statistical and analytical methods such as SPC, SQC and DOE
* Strong Design FMECA
* Design Development experience
* Experience in bringing a product from new product development through to manufacturing
