PURPOSE OF ROLE:
- Carry out professional Quantity Surveying duties and services as part of the multi-discipline design and project management Delivery Unit within Children's Services.
- Provide cost consultancy support on projects, including the provision of pre and post contract duties for procurement, estimating, valuations and dealing with contractor claims.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Support the effective delivery of the service resulting in the exceeding of agreed Key Performance Indicator targets
- Produce accurate feasibility and pre-tender estimates with all assumptions clearly set out to allow easy comparison to ensure eg accuracy of project and pre-tender estimates, agreeing final accounts
- Agree final accounts with contractors within the timescales set down by the various forms of contract
Produce monthly cash flow forecasts so that the Council has a clear and accurate spend profile
