Tangent International are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work for our client, based in Maidenhead. This is a 3 month rolling contract on a very large rail project. We require a Quantity Surveyor to assist with the commercial control of the civils element of the Contract.

Key aspects of the role will include (but not be limited to):
Reporting to the Commercial Manager of the contract.
Input & maintenance of a contract cost reporting system which can effectively manage the financial status of the project.
Ensure interface between supply chain & other disciplines to enable timely input of cost information in order to produce reports as required.
Monitor labour, plant & other cost allocations, report cost deviations to budget.

The successful candidate will:
Degree educated or HND/HNC equivalent
Working towards Professional Qualification
Suitable post degree experience working in contracting commercial department preferably within the rail industry
Knowledge of and ability to interpret construction industry conditions of contract
