Santander Global Facilities (SGF) is a Santander Group Company which provides support services for different businesses relating to people and buildings. It provides a technical, administrative and specialised service relating to integrated building management, general services and human resources administration services.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be required to provide Cost Management services throughout the project lifecycle for a large portfolio of retail branch fitting out and refurbishmemnt projects to support delivery of Santander's branch investment programme.

As a Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or other relevant industry recognised qualification
* MRICS essential
* Proven track record in fitting out and refurbishment sector with sufficient and relevant experience within a relevant QS/practice or retail business .
* Ability to adapt to a wide range of projects and values, working with multiple projects simultaneously.
* Good knowledge of the main procurement methods and forms of contract.
* Experience of utilising a range of industry standard processes and systems in order to effectively deliver a project.
* Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
* Experience of working within multi-functional teams and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
* Quick and accurate data inputting skills, and a good level of computer literacy (word and excel)
* Ability to follow instructions precisely and work proactively in a team to support the delivery of successful projects.

As a Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) your main responsibilities will involve:

* For Acquisition Schemes and complex refurbishments prepare and develop a cost plan through the process of design development, including monitoring and advising on cost implications of design changes.
* Request tenders from Contractors based on agreed schedule of rates and check tender submissions for accuracy, level of pricing, errors and qualifications. Adjust tenders as required to achieve an acceptable contract sum.
* Receive and verify accuracy of submittals from other 3rd party supplier e.g. furniture and merchandising units.
* Prepare cost reports (as required). All cost reports should be prepared in sufficient detail so as to be fully auditable
* Benchmark supplier / contractor performance using set of key performance indicators, as agreed with the Client
* To proactively build and maintain effective relationships within the delivery team and externally to support in the completion of projects.
