Quantity Surveyor (Cost Saving)

I am looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor for one of my Public Sector Client.

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Cost saving)

LOCATION: SOUTH EAST, ANDOVER, MARLBOROUGH LINES

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 MONTH

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Develop a programme cost reduction plan with defined outputs and benefits.

Looking at construction designs and finding ways to standardize and cost save.

Understand the cost drivers within the design stage of the programme.

Work with the team, external stakeholders and suppliers to define and agree the approach to programme cost reduction initiatives and measures.

Regularly review tracking and reporting cost reduction progress against all programme plan level activity.

Work with DIO Project and package Leads and external suppliers to implement cost reduction measures.

Effective communication at all levels and appropriate communication of project/package status and activities.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Observe change control process at project/programme level; registering proposed changes for investigation and resolution.

Identify internal resources required to execute the project/programme plans.

Contribute to the benefits case impacted by time, reporting throughout the Programme Management Office.

Manage relationships with contacts at all levels in order to establish effective working relationships between members of the project teams, Programme Manager, key stakeholders and suppliers.

Continually develop the network of contacts across the business to enable achievement of objectives and maintain these for future initiatives.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

Recognized qualification in quantity surveying, construction background, Qualified and Experienced Quantity Surveyor

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

Previous mod experience would be advantageous. Leading a team of 4.

Candidate applying for this role must have SC Clearance.
