Quantity Surveyor (Contract/Interim) in-House

QUANTITY SURVEYOR - CONTRACT/INTERIM - IN-HOUSE

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing specialist construction company for a Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast paced and busy company on a interim basis, to hit the ground running in terms of providing QS work on major construction projects.

As Quantity Surveyor you will be working within the commercial team, your role will be to provide commercial management of suppliers and to prevent overspend against CAPEX and OPEX costs. Part of your role will be to receive SORs, assess scope of the request and price up either using standard contract rate cards or through supplier negotiation. You will be responsible for supplier management, assessing applications for payment and agree final build accounts through assessing of work done against agreed schedule of rates. Whilst all the time ensuring cost saving for the business.

You will be given the opportunity to work on a number of large and small scale acquisition, design and build projects for the commercial sites.

Requirements:

- Quantity surveying experience
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Strong reporting and presentation skills
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel
- MS Access experience
