Quantity Surveyor

JOB TITLE: QUANTITY SURVEYOR

LOCATION: GB WARWICK

TYPE OF JOB: CONTRACTOR

ROLE PROFILE:

- To maximise project profitability and control costs
- To put in place robust cost control/recovery processes
- To submit, negotiate and agree site final accounts with client.
- To keep control of variation costs and ensure variations are quoted to the client and purchase orders are received for variations.
- To act as a focal point for all project related commercial activities and to be the go to person both the Project Team members and client staff.

Deliverables include:

- Ensure timely preparation of project site final accounts, submit and agree with client.
- Ensure that timely requests for payments are submitted in order to maximise our cash flow return.
- Ensure electronic site files are adequately maintained.
- Ensure liaison between all parties throughout site installation process regarding all commercial matters.
- Liaise with the installation teams to record all changes/additional costs/recoverable time and time extensions.
- Maintain positive communications at all times with clients and internally.
- Carry out any other duties that are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the Line Manager.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Preferably hold a MRICS or CIOB qualification
- Post qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for either a professional practice,
- Contracting or Client organisation, not necessarily within the telecoms/broadcast industry.
- Experience if no professional qualifications held
