Railway Quantity Surveyor (QS) - Birmingham

Rate and Location
A rate of up to 300 per day is on offer for an opportunity which is based in Birmingham

One of the most recognisable names within the rail infrastructure sector has a requirement for a quantity surveyor to support the commercial manager and senior QS within the commercial team and assist in maintaining a high margin within a project

Role Description
This role requires that you
- Preparation of and submission of Change Notices and Changes Assessments to Network Rail.
- Management of the Main Contract change account and register
- Valuation of Sub contract variations and management of the sub contract change account.
- Forecasting
- Input into Main Contract Applications for payment.
- Management of correspondence with Network Rail.
- Identification and management of risk.
- Assist with preparation of Client reports
- Maintain commercial records
- Identification of risk and input into risk reports

Required Experience
For this role you will be required to
- Have previously worked in a contracting commercial department undertaking a similar role
- Have a QS qualification, ideally at degree level
- Previous experience of working within a rail environment
