Quantity Surveyor

Spring Technology require an Quantity Surveyor for our public sector client based in Birmingham.

Assignment:
To update the Commercial Divisions, Cost Capture system (including all associated products and processes), with audited data received from the Cost Capture Co-ordinator, and work with the RIB Super User - Data Analyst to provide accurate and timely cost capture reporting and analysis;
To contribute to the development of a robust Cost Intelligence Model (CIM), capable of providing logical outputs for pan-directorate cost and commercial functionality;

To liaise with the supply chain and interrogate estimate and outturn information

Key Tasks:
* Input normalised and audited target and outturn cost information from the supply chain;
* Maintain and update CIM project characteristics, including the implementation of effective and auditable change control
* Produce prioritised information (and analysis) reporting for distribution to colleagues, partners and stakeholders
* Deliver Benchmarking activity relating to Cost and Programme/Portfolio delivery
* Build strong relationships with software providers to monitor and test software updates and enhancements, to ensure they are fit for purpose and end users are informed of changes
* Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of cost capture and related systems to ensure their alignment and integration with other Agency systems and frameworks
* Contribute to the effective implementation of consistent reporting templates to capture and analyse relevant data

Experience Required:
- Basic/intermediate knowledge of methods and products used in Roads Construction.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas and chart production
- Knowledge of RIB C - Suite System would be an advantage.
