Rate: £250.00 - £280.00 per day

The Company:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leader in electricity distribution in the UK, within their multi utility joint venture for defence projects, as an assistant quantity surveyor.

The Role:

Our client is looking to recruit an assistant quantity surveyor to join there busy team on defence and construction projects in the South West area. As assistant quantity surveyor you will be responsible for providing support to the lead Quantity Surveyor and procurement manager on a number of projects. The assistant quantity surveyor will monitor and manage contracts and contract packages for the commercial and project teams. Part of the assistant quantity surveyors role will involve change management and its associated documentation in line with the project contract and strategy as directed by the Quantity Surveyor and project teams. The assistant quantity surveyor may also be required to travel to construction sites if required.

The Candidate:

With at least 2 years experience of working in an assistant quantity surveyor position in an electrical infrastructure, utilities or construction environment, you should have an understanding of industry contracts such as NEC3. Ideally you will hold a HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying and be a member of RICS, although candidates without a HND/HNC with extensive industry experience will also be considered. As travel is involved in the role it is essential that candidates hold a valid full UK driving licence.
