Quantitative Researcher, Unstructured Data-Boston,MA

A Boston-based asset management firm is looking to hire an experienced quantitative analyst to help grow the firm's research efforts and establish the unstructured data research and development team.

In the role, you will be responsible for founding and developing the firm's unstructured data R&D team. As there is no real focus on unstructured data research at the moment, you will be able to direct the focus of the research as well as help grow the team on an as-need basis. You will work closely with the CIO and the firm's portfolio managers to help establish the role unstructured data R&D will play in the firm's investment strategy.

This position is the perfect role for a skilled quant analyst who has a strong background working with unstructured data and has the motivation and vision to develop a research strategy from scratch. You must be collaborative, innovative, driven, and extremely talented at what you do. Candidates not only need to have the proven ability to produce meaningful results from large, unstructured data sets, but also have experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.

In order to be considered for the role, applicants must have:

* 5+ years of experience working in the financial industry, preferably in a research capacity
* PhD in a quantitative field
* Expert knowledge of MATLAB, R, or Python
* Experience working with unstructured data, such as print media, audio tapes, and film, is required
