Quantitative Research Team Lead, Trading Strategy-Boston, MA

One of the top hedge funds in Boston is looking to add a skilled quantitative researcher to its trade strategy team.

As a researcher, you will work closely with the traders, portfolio managers, and research analysts to help build out the firm's trading strategies. You will be expected to perform advanced quantitative research in order to develop and implement routing and trading strategies that will be used in portfolio optimization and the trading process. In this capacity, you will be responsible for developing pre-trade and post-trade analytics as well as designing some of the team's forecasting and risk models. This role has outstanding growth potential, as you will be responsible for building and leading a team of quant researchers in this area.

On the team, you will not only be the quantitative research expert, but also the go-to person for information regarding market microstructure and trends. Therefore, candidates must have extremely strong research backgrounds, enjoy conducting data and literature reviews, and have excellent communication skills so as to transform your findings into beneficial quantitative recommendations.

In order to be considered for this role, candidates must have:

* Minimum 5 years of experience in quantitative research, some of which must be in a managerial capacity. Applicants with experience in trading research preferred
* Knowledge of Q and MATLAB. Understanding of Q is required
