QUANT SPECIALIST

For our client based in Zurich, we are looking for quant developer.

Overview of business area or project:

The system is composed of a risk engine and a data warehouse in which underlying securities are maintained and enriched with information from internal and external data providers

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

- Scientific or technical education from good university
- Understanding of complex business requirements, eg their impact on quantitative models and performance of IT systems.
- Problem solving
- Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding.
- Experience in analysing financial instrument data across asset classes
- Lead requirements elicitation workshops

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

- Not only gathering requirements, also able to propose requirements and validate them with stakeholders
- Hands-on quant and development previous experience
- Python
- Machine learning
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry, especially in Banking
- Data Quality & Backtesting
- Risk Management & Portfolio Optimization
- PhD from top tier university
- Innovative strategic initiative
