QUANT DEVELOPER - PYTHON/SQL - FINANCIAL SERVICES - CENTRAL LONDON

One of the most prestigious and innovative financial institutions in the UK are looking to hire a talented Quant Developer with strong Python programming skills to help develop and support the valuation and risk engine at the core of a FMA Platform.

As a Quant Developer, you will be required to design and implement high quality business-focused technical solutions to the company.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

Advanced Python programming skills (comfortable with meta classes, generators, list/dict comprehensions, functional programming constructs, XML manipulation etc.)

Network programming concepts (sockets, serialisation)

Twisted asynchronous network programming model (reactor pattern, deferreds and callbacks, writing Servers and clients, perspective brokers and RPCs, serialisation (Jelly/UnJelly) etc.)

A solid understanding of Object Oriented techniques and patterns

Exposure to SQL and ability to analyse large sources of data preferred

Source code control best practice (use of Subversion, branches, merging etc.)

Any grid computing and Java experience is desirable.
