Quality Scientist I

SUMMARY:

- Daily testing of samples received from production.
- Timely completion of tests to meet the established testing time.
- Following GMP documentation guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Testing in process samples, (including but not limited to Environmental Monitoring, Water Samples, Seeds, Antigen), blended vaccines and final containers for all applicable assays utilizing good aseptic practices.
- Maintaining testing schedules and reagent supply
- Completion of documentation following cGMP guidelines
- Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, instrumentation and facility
- Following all Quality Standards, Policies and Procedures
- Providing minimum input for laboratory investigations (LIR)
- Understanding of the QC software packages used during routine work Team members, QC, QA, maintenance and production colleagues

SKILLS:

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- General knowledge of the following software programs: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to positively embrace change and flexibility in adjusting to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work well independently and as a part of a team, and to work effectively with people at all levels within the organization
- Ability to lift approximately 20 pounds
- Two or four year degree in associated field (science background preferred) and/or 0-3 years applicable experience.
- Up to two years Clinical/Pharmaceutical, LRL Global Clinical Research, Global Science Info/Comm., Required Industry Experience
