Quality Product Manager

QUALITY PRODUCT MANAGER REQUIRED FOR HOT OPPORTUNITY WITH THE WORLD\'S LEADING SOFTWARE COMPANY

Must be self-motivated, willing to drive projects/issues with minimal guidance. Need to be able to have a strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Factory knowledge is highly desired, so that s/he can speak the "language" of the vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- First Article Inspection Procedure (FAI)
- (CAPA), Corrective and Preventative actions - Drive, resolve, measure in region CAPA issues
- Drive monthly quality reporting and improvement actions with worldwide manufacturing and distribution facilities

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 2 years' experience of high tech product development, manufacture or quality control
- Ability to be "lead without authority" to vendor sites across the globe
- Minimum 1 year hands-on manufacturing experience
- CAPA EXPERIENCE AND ELECTRICAL/HARDWARE ENGINEERING BACKGROUND A MUST

PREFERRED:

- Prototype, production qualification, reliability, and acceptance testing
- Supplier management
- Statistical analysis of process and product performance. Lead process improvement team efforts, and create a "Quality Indicator" methodology
- Customer and supplier interface for all quality issues; resolution of quality related supplier problems while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Lead process improvement and cost savings activities
- Establish and manage supply chain metrics

This contract position is expected to be 3-6 months in duration.
