QUALITY MANAGER needed for a long term CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in PLAIN CITY, OH.

- Quality Management expertise in an Biotech or medical device environment

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for assurance that the processes used/identified to produce and control products are within compliance to the applicable regulations.
- Interacts with various functional departments to accomplish compliance and implementation of Quality goals.
- Responsibility for assuring compliance with Design Assurance activities, resource allocation needed to affect on time and within budget quality design activity for product development.
- Manage and direct a group of quality engineers dedicated to design assurance. Manage and maintain an operating budget.
- Manage the improvement and maintenance of the Design Assurance program for the Trauma Business Unit.
- Maintains departmental budget within prescribed limits.
- Provides leadership for quality engineering projects from concept through design, implementation, testing, documentation, support, and maintenance.
- Manages the process of formulating procedures, specifications, and standards for products and processes with a focus on products of the Trauma Business Unit.
- Hires, trains, develops, and manages a team of 4 to 10 quality engineering professionals in the pursuit of team and Business Unit goals.
- Maintain quality systems as identified for the Trauma Business Unit used to produce and control product/services.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS. in engineering or an alternative Bachelor's degree program with certification as a quality engineer (eg CQE) plus six to ten (6-10) years experience in a Quality Engineering role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Ability to work within a team environment and build relationships outside of the department as well as outside the company.
- Facilitates team efforts on Design Assurance activities as related to specific projects.
- Ability to deliver, meet deadlines and have results orientation.
- Able to communicate both orally and in written form to multiple levels of the company.
- Microsoft Office Suite, expert knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, understanding of QSR/ISO regulations, design assurance, FMEA, and product testing methods, and are able to use optical comparators and CMMs.
- Strong knowledge of statistics, process control, and process capability techniques.
- Travel Requirements- up to 20%
