Quality Manager - Berkshire - £50K

A client of mine is urgently seeking a Quality Manager to start as soon as possible. They are an aerospace company with wide experience in repairing, overhauling, designing and manufacturing aerospace systems and components. Their niche speciality is MRO of aviation equipment including oxygen, hydraulics, fire extinguishers, heat exchangers and fuel equipment. They have 45 people on site, with a turnover of £5M, so this is a chance to join an exciting SME company at a senior level. Some of your duties will encompass: - Undertaking internal audits, i.e. EASE Part 145, EASA Part 21 G, FAR 145, TCCA, AS 9100 rev C / ISO 9001-2008. - Assessing sub-contractors for extension of the quality system and maintaining the expertise to the satisfaction of EASA/FAA/CAA - Reviewing/amending the company MOE,POE,TCCA,FAR,AS9100/ISO9001 manuals, capability lists and companies scope. - Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation, setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring targets are achieved. The successful candidate will: - Good levels of practical experience and expertise in the application of the civil aviation safety standards and maintenance practices. - A comprehensive knowledge of EASA part 145, EASA part 21 G, TCCA, AS9100 rev C, ISO 9001-2008 - A sound knowledge of the application of Quality Systems. Knowledge of Six Sigma, 5 whys, root analysis, root cause analysis would be an advantage. - A previous position as an EASA Form 4 holder would also be an advantage.
