Quality Manager

5S recruitment is working with a major supplier into the motorsport/automotive and aerospace industry to recruit a Quality Manager
Main Duties will be:
Responsible for the management of the Quality Department.
Responsible for the General Management & Development of the Quality Department & System, to include:-
Implementation and development of a Quality System in line with ISO9001:2008 utilising all facets of Factory Master.
Continually monitor & assess all department Procedures and propose updates as necessary.
Carry out Performance & Capability Reviews of all Quality staff.
Organise continual training (formal & informal) for all Quality staff.
Carry out general departmental HR duties, and direct any higher level issues to the HR Manager.
Ensure standard, upkeep & calibration of all machines & measuring equipment.
Aid the Quality Staff in general day-to-day duties where necessary.
Complete Control Plans, Inspection Report, FMEA s and other reports where necessary.
Represent the client in customer meetings regarding Quality Standards including BSI Audits.
Attend all Production and Management meetings.

This position will consult with:
Reports to the Managing Director on all KPI s, Quality failures and Process failures.
Liaise with the Production Co-ordinator to keep them informed of any failures or hold ups of Products in Quality Control.
Liaise with the Planner to ensure cells are delivered to Stores promptly, and so that repairs are assessed promptly and in the correct order for Cell Production Workshop to be able to carry out the work as efficiently as possible.
Liaise with the Stores Manager to ensure smooth running of Goods In/Out, making sure a process is in place for all deliveries of hardware to be inspected and batch controlled.
